Easing Restrictions, 12 June 2020
The door has opened, the light comes in,
Life has restarted, I can breathe again.
A sense of hope is in the air,
Worry and fear have disappeared.
I feel the pride; we have survived,
Yet not forgotten, many have died.
The ups and downs of everyday,
Feeling ungrounded in every way.
Self-isolating, moved into my head,
Sometimes impossible to leave the bed.
Freedom has brought more joy to the day,
Yet slightly anxious, the virus may stay.
A little more cautious, a little more free,
A little more rounded as a human being.
